The group of 10 (Betty Kiang, Peck Hong, Karen Ying(Lionel's friend), Tommy Ee, Edward, Stanley Foo(Tommy's friends), Edward Chiang, Lim Kum Seng(Lionel's friend), Lionel Chia & Davy) would like to extend our sincere thanks & appreciation to Davy for all his effort & arrangement for the walk.
We met at the hawker centre at 7.00 am at the junction of Jurong Kechil & Upper Bukit Timah Road. (Carrot cake, chee cheong fun, water cake (chwee kueh lah!), ee chay kueh, etc.)
After breakfast around 8.00 am, we proceeded in two cars to somewhere(a vacant plot which Davy did a recce earlier) near King Albert Park. We started off at the Bukit Timah Station & it took us almost 2 1/2 hours to cover the 3 km track to our destination, the Rail Mall. It was not easy to walk on the granite chips(abandoned shoe soles), the landscape was quite scenic(black steel bridges) & we were rather amused with some of the features(traffic light, display plates with numbers, etc) along the track.
Upon reaching the Rail Mall around 10.35 am, we had toast & coffee at Ah Mei Coffee Shop.
Some of us had wanted to walk back along the track but due to the heavy downpour, we had to take the bus to Bukit Timah Plaza & walked a short distance toward our cars.
Anyway, we had a great time & some of us are looking forward to our next outing to Maxwell Hill.
